When the curtain rises in Hamburg's Theater am Hafen and the mysterious rhythms of Africa start to ring out there is a sense of magic in the air. At this moment Africa is right there on the banks of the Elbe. Millions of visitors and a total of 26 major international prizes – including 6 Tony Awards – this musical has broken all records for international visitor numbers. The exciting journey to Africa begins with the unusual ferry ride across to the theatre's own jetty in Hamburg's harbour.

Whoopie Goldberg's cult film in musical form. Sister Act tells the story of the night club singer Deloris van Cartier, who takes refuge from gangsters in a convent and sets up a most unusual choir.
