„Hotel revisited”

„I have been visiting the Grand Elysee a few times in recent years and always had a satisfactory to - in the past excellent stay. The facilities and location are fantastic, so are staff in fitness area and at breakfast and reception as well as the cleaning staff.During our last two stays we noticed a very poor attitude of staff in the restaurant area Pizzaria and Cafe; also the Dammtor Epress seems to be hit and miss. It would be very useful for guests who would need this due to injuries/ issues walking. They would appreciate to get themselves with the luggage to the station..staff in the restaurant area were lacking customer service skills, ignoring customers or making comments on the amount of the food ordered within earshot of other customers does not leave a good impression. Total opposite to excellent service in breakfast area and at reception. Also Express service to Dammtor was asked for an evening before departure, then again before and after breakfast before being told this was not available as in use for filming. It would have been nice to come clean from the start..Had to turn up 3 times at reception to be told to be back again to then find out that the Dammtor Express was prebooked by a film team - hardly 5 start approach!.lack of customer service skills.arrogantly talking about customer's orders if too little,planting a board right in front of customers' faces rather than a printed menu of the day, waiter was clearly not enjoying his job and we could not wait to leave the restaurant..staff lacked customer service skills; arrogantly talking about customer's orders if too little, ignoring customers - did not look as if they enjoyed their job”

„Perfect Stay ”

„Our Stay was comfortable and very relaxing , the staff were very welcoming and friendly nothing was to much trouble they gave accurate advice and very willing to help . The Hotel is a beautiful place spotless clean and comfy beds which is a bonus these days , if we ever return to Hamburg this will be our accommodation for sure highly recommended . And thank you to everyone :)”

„In the morning the femtal older waiter should NOT ask if we blend sekt with juice. Non of her business. In the brasseri Flum the chief should NOT discuse any different menu AS we had an arrangement with the formule menu. Remembler please, that your customer has nearly always right. ”

„weekend in Hamburg”

„"the facility is fine, but we expected different service (nothing less than excellence, not an usual service like every impersonal big chain hotel) and different breakfast (natural food, soja yougurt and so on) Room is fine and the beds are very confortable but is the no added value. We expect to spleep well in a fine room if we spend money..No caddy welcoming us the check in process took too long.On your site you wrote ""Technogym equipment in fitness room"" while there were some other awful pieces"”

„Unbelievable Beauty”

„From the moment our taxi pulled up and a bellhop immediately came out for our bags, the stay could not have been any more perfect, I could live in the lobby, it contained a fantastic garden and beautiful art work...the towel warmer in the bathroom, I'm spoiled, now I want one at home.....I have booked many hotels via the internet and this has been the best of the bunch....you will not be disappointed”
