„The Best Weekend”

„Lovely Hotel with Professional Staff!”

„The Grand Elysse is a world class facility, due in no small part to an exceptionally helpful & professional staff. The rooms and common areas are of the highest quality with superior amenities. From the moment we checked in - through to check out - the staff was efficient and friendly. And the restaurants are excellent! For decades we have travelled throughout Europe and the Grand Elysee is certainly among the finest hotels we have had the pleasure to visit. ”

„keycard /door did not work”

„We stayed at Grand Elysee last year for 2 days and this year for 2 days. Our check in went smoothly but then the trouble started. When our keycard didn't work, so we couldn’t enter our room. First time I walked to the reception to reset the cards, the young man in the reception told me if we had problems with the keys after he reset them, I should give the reception a call, when I call due to the misfunctions of the cards, I was then told to go back to the reception one more time!! Seriously, my husband and was already annoyed at this time. My husband walked back to the reception for the second time and the card was once again reset, this didn’t help, se we both walked down for the 3. time to complain. This time one young lady walked with us up to the room, she had a master key, she then tried to open our door with the 3 keycards and course she also experienced it didn’t work. She opened the door with at master key and told us” if you leave the room and need to get back in, then you need to go to the Reception, so one of my colleague can go with you up and open the door to the room.”!!! NEVER have we felt more ridiculous. The day after we went to eat brunch and after brunch, we needed some things from the room before we were going too experience Hamburg and once again, we had to stand in a long line due to check out. The only thing my husband and I heard from the staff was how sorry you where for the inconvenience, but that didn’t take the felling of independent away from us. I asked in the reception if you could just move us to another room, but that was not an option. On the day of check out I was told that due to our inconvenience the hotel payed our parking tickets and thanks for that but it do not take away the feeling, do we want to visit The Grand Elysee again ? We thought about going to invite our family next your but honestly now we probably will try one of the other hotel in Hamburg and if people ask unfortunately, this is the story I will tell. „5 star bad hotel”

„Please teach your staff to respect non german overseas guest. When we came in the first day to have breakfast, we waited for around 10 minutes to be seated a long wue also was behind us while your staff talking to each others carelessly then an old lady came ( she wasn't busy seating others) we told her, we have been waiting for a while, her reply was a bug shock, she asked “are you guests at the hotel? We left immediately and complained to the receptionist who only said indifferently oh sorry for that So we decide to cancel our 7 nights reservation and move to another hotel where they have well trained staff .. Professionalism . Smelly room . Electricity and lights functionality. Please teach your staff to respect non german overseas guest. I sent several emails before we cane to receive the confirmation about booking which I dis via telephone but nothing from your side, then 3 international calks dis one if your staff decided to be professional and reply back. Coming from Dubai, i can clearly say that you have the worst staff. No”

„Comfort, cleanliness and a very caring hotel staff.”

„I will for sure come back. . I was really taken aback to have to wait for up to five minutes to be seated. I visited this restaurant 3 times. Each time the host let me wait. Very unprofessional and uncomfortable. All other meals I had at different restaurants in the city.. The WiFi wasn’t stable at times.”

„Stearing at a table in the corner ajacent to the Working area for te staff is unacceptable. To busy, the pre-dinner drinks were served just before the starters due to many Guest in the bar. At second seating the only optlon for porterhousr was low-weight steaks. The steaks were very tender og Well prepared, but very anonymous. The german red wine at the recommended list was fantastic and was a great choice done by the very servant and pleasant female Waiter. When we left I politely told the male “ober-kelner” in the suit, that our particular table was a less suitable for the hotels guest - and then he starts raising his voice and everything became very embarrasing. That was a time-experience of that kind in a high-rated hotelrestaurant.. Se before”

„Hotel to recommend”

„Stayed there one night for business. Whilst their was a small hiccup with the room, I enjoyed my stay. Absolutely lovely hotel, friendly staff and awesome breakfast - and very price reasonable. Whilst I didn't go to the spa or any of the other restaurants (other than breakfast) they looked very lovely. I hope to visit Hamburg again with my family and will definitely stay there again!. In mein Zimmer lag ein Bonbon Papier unter der Stuhl und einen alten Salat im MiniBar. D”

„Great Hotel”

„Great hotel with the best breakfast buffe ever. the hotel is very nice with 3 different restaurants, with fantastic food. . Service level from the waiters doesn't live up to the level of the food, they were very nice, but hard to get in contact with.. Internet was a little unstable at times. we had some issues with additional billing, but this was sorted out at the check out”
