Brasserie Flum

Hamburg's French restaurant

Bienvenue to French specialities and a charmingly informal atmosphere. Our brasserie was named after the architect and designer Max Flum, who created this Art Nouveau gem. In culinary terms, it impresses with classic French dishes. The fine wines, fruit de mer served on our specially made lobster table and relaxed conviviality create pure savoir-vivre.

Savoir-vivre

Uniquely French: c'est la brasserie!

A brasserie is something so typically French that it has no real equivalent in Germany. It is less formal than a restaurant, and the food tends to be ordered for the whole party and shared. It is usually accompanied by full-bodied wines, and the special atmosphere encourages everyone to start conversations with their fellow guests. Unlike a bistro, a brasserie offers a full menu with hot main meals as well as small hors d'œuvres or soups.
